Awarded the Outstanding Interpreting Service Award
We have a team of passionate and articulate schedulers who are also RID certified interpreters. We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide responsive, personalized service with a request fill rate of 95%.
Since 1994, we have grown from a scheduling department of one to the current six. Our pool of interpreters has grown from a single interpreter to over a hundred nationally certified interpreters. We began by providing on-site community interpreting and now offer video, trilingual, and Deaf interpreting services.
With more than 250 active accounts in the Sacramento, Lake Tahoe and Northern California regions, we are able to offer our customers and interpreters highly competitive rates while maintaining our commitment to knowledgeable and readily available customer service.
Eaton Interpreting Services, Inc. is committed to providing American Sign Language interpreting services in an ethical, respectful, and professional manner, which meets or exceeds the expectations of our consumers. All contracted interpreters adhere to a Code of Professional Conduct set forth by the National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf and the National Association of the Deaf.
We are consumer-oriented and committed to matching experienced interpreters to the needs of our clients and customers.
We offer highly competitive rates for both interpreters and consumers.
We have served the Sacramento area and surrounding communities since 1994. We are the only local agency to have been awarded the “Outstanding Interpreting Service Award” from the Sacramento Deaf community.

Proven Success – Eaton is the only local agency to have been awarded the “Outstanding Interpreting Service Award” from the Sacramento Deaf community.
Quality – We have partnered with a pool of RID/NAD certified interpreters who sign fluently and accurately, both expressively and receptively, and abide by a code of professional conduct.
Interpreters – Interpreting is a complex process requiring training in linguistic, cognitive, and technical skills. Eaton subcontracts with certified, professional, and experienced interpreters to provide communication and interpreting needs in a broad range of settings with a diverse range of Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Deaf-Blind consumers.
Confidential Services – Interpreters are certified by the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, The National Association of the Deaf, the new joint certification of both organizations, and the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA). All certified interpreters adhere to a Code of Professional Conduct, which ensures the provision of ethical and confidential services.
Trusted and Secured – As per California State Department of Education Code (Section 45125.1), all contracted interpreters in the educational setting are fingerprinted through the California Department of Justice automated Live Scan service for criminal history background checks. All contracted interpreters placed in this setting are also in compliance with the California State Department of Education Code (Section 3051.16) related to qualification/certification requirements.
Risk Management – We carry liability insurance. Interpreters have been fingerprinted through the California Department of Justice.
Value – Our rates for services are competitively priced. Our customers receive a business agreement stating the terms of service, fees, and policy and procedure information.
