Eaton Interpreting Services is pleased to share this information about mentoring opportunities for Sacramento area sign language interpreters. If you know of anyone who may benefit from this program, please encourage them to apply.
MENTEES WANTED NOW!
We have trained interpreter Mentors who have yet to be matched in a mentorship. We are looking for pre-certified interpreter Mentees interested in moving closer to certification! Further criteria can be found at the link below.
In a recent survey assessing interpreter practitioner needs that was conducted by the National Consortium, more than 80% responded positively when asked whether they could benefit from a mentor or tutor. When asked if they wanted a mentor, were one available, 77% responded yes. In response to our stakeholders, the Western Region Interpreter Education Center has trained 50 Mentors to date, ready to match with a Mentee!
